This year we are supporting the team with the donation of a modern coaches communication system. This system is designed for high power and clarity, is waterproof and dustproof, and will allow the coaching staff to better mange how they communicate.

Salute to Service Game November 10
Yakoo Brotherhood provided game jerseys

Thanks to all who contributed and helped Yakoo Brotherhood provide these great game jerseys for the team. It was a special night – before the game there was a wonderful ceremony recognizing our veterans and North Quincy graduates who gave their lives in service to our country. NQ beat Plymouth North 42-21 and gained mementum going into Thanksgiving.
Special thanks to Sean Halpin and Rich Ragusa for their efforts in putting this amazing event together in a very short time.
2023 Project – Honoring NQ Alumni Who Made the Ultimate Sacrifice
This season the Yakoo Brotherhood is honoring the North Quincy graduates killed in action in service to our country. We are procuring a set of special game jerseys to be worn by the team. We need your help to make sure every NQ player is able to wear a jersey with the name of a NQ graduate killed in action. Please donate using the Pay Pal button – your support is greatly appreciated!

2022 – Project End Zone Camera
This year’s Yakoo Brotherhood project is the acquisition of an End Zone Camera. This will help Coach Ryan Craig and his staff assess the team and get an all-22 view of every play at practice and each game.
The camera comes on a tripod and is mounted in an end zone. We will outfit the team with the camera and the necessary supporting equipment, such as a case and electrical cords. It will be stored in a secure facility. You can check out the camera here.
I see a lot of high school games in Florida, and the schools there use the end zone camera as their primary scouting and coaching tool. Some schools also use drones with cameras, but I am not sure how that is regulated in Massachusetts.
You can support this year’s project by making a donation to the Yakoo Brotherhood.

Yakoo – An American Original

Looking to see the story of Yakoo’s origins? Here is the complete story as told by Allan Yacubian and James Peter Fredericksen.
Last Practice With Pete Zoia
This month we are adding a section chronicling a unique North Quincy Tradition. Pete Zoia’s appearance in his 1933 uniform at the last practice before Thanksgiving was always memorable. Check it out here: Last Practice with Pete Zoia

2020 Project -Jugs Machine Update
The 2020 Yakoo Brotherhood project was the acquisition of a Jugs Machine. Pass catching was identified by Coach Ryan Craig and his staff as an area where the team had the potential to show great improvement. The machine can fire passes, punts and kickoffs to any precise spot on the field. (We sure could have used this when I played)

We outfitted the team with the machine and the necessary supporting equipment, such as a cart and electrical cords.
You can support this year’s project (End Zone Camera) by making a donation to the Yakoo Brotherhood.
